Sales & Commercial Coordinator UK Operations โ€“ Automotive Quality & Engineering Services Location: Erdington, Birmingham Reporting to: Director of Sales UK & Belgium Employment Type: Full-Time, on-site Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday- 08.00am-17.00pm-1 hr lunch break About Us: Formel D is the global service provider for the industry. Role Overview We are seeking an organised, proactive, and commercially focused Sales & Commercial Coordinator to support the continued growth of our UK operations. Working closely with the Sales Director, this role will play a key part in maintaining CRM accuracy, managing sales pipeline activity, supporting customer communication, and ensuring commercial opportunities are effectively tracked and progressed. The successful candidate will help drive commercial efficiency across the business through strong organisation, attention to detail, and consistent follow-up management. This role would suit someone from a sales support, recruitment agency sales, account management, or commercial coordination background looking to develop a long-term career within sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities CRM & Pipeline Management Maintain and manage the company CRM system ensuring all customer activity and opportunities are accurately recorded Monitor pipeline activity and support progression of commercial opportunities Ensure customer follow-ups, actions, and tasks are completed within agreed timescales Maintain accurate customer records, contact data, and commercial information Produce regular pipeline and sales activity reports for management review Support forecasting and opportunity tracking activities Identify dormant or inactive opportunities for follow-up Commercial Support Support preparation of quotations, presentations, and commercial documentation Assist with customer communications and meeting coordination Prepare meeting summaries and track completion of actions Support tender and RFQ administration activities Coordinate internal commercial documentation and approvals Assist with maintaining customer account information and records Business Development Support Support outbound customer engagement activities Assist with LinkedIn and business development initiatives Support account management activities for existing UK customers Help maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and follow-up Support identification of potential growth opportunities within existing accounts Candidate Requirements Essential Previous experience within sales support, commercial coordination, recruitment agency sales, account management, or customer-focused commercial roles Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Good Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Self-motivated and proactive attitude Professional and customer-focused approach RTW in the UK without restrictions (PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIPS) Desirable Experience using CRM systems Automotive, engineering, manufacturing, or service industry experience Experience supporting sales or commercial teams Understanding of pipeline management and reporting Experience preparing quotations or commercial documentation Personal Attributes Organised and process-driven Commercially aware Strong follow-up discipline Confident communicator Positive and professional attitude Ability to work independently and within a team Driven to support business growth and continuous improvement What Success Looks Like In This Role CRM consistently maintained to a high standard Strong pipeline visibility and reporting accuracy Improved customer follow-up discipline Reduced lost opportunities due to inactivity High-quality commercial administration support Improved organisation and efficiency across the sales function Career Development This role offers excellent long-term career progression opportunities within a growing commercial team, including potential future development into Account Management or Business Development positions.
