This is a hybrid role, with approximately 75% of time dedicated to Sales Assistant responsibilities and 25% dedicated to Accounts Payable support. This position is well-suited for someone who values structure, accuracy, and teamwork while maintaining a proactive, solutions-focused, and optimistic approach to daily work. --- Primary Responsibilities Sales Assistant Responsibilities (Approx. 75%) Enter and manage sales orders accurately and efficiently Process purchase orders in a timely manner Track customer orders and provide proactive status updates Serve as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, and internal teams Handle and route inbound calls professionally Coordinate with shipping and receiving to ensure smooth order fulfillment Monitor inventory levels and alert the sales team of potential issues Assist sales representatives with order-related questions and follow-ups Prepare basic sales reports and track order status Deliver consistent, professional customer service --- Accounts Payable Responsibilities (Approx. 25%) Enter vendor invoices accurately and timely File and maintain AP documentation (electronic and physical) Assist with setting up new vendors Assist with filing Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments Monitor AP-related email inboxes and route issues appropriately --- Skills for Success Proactive, solutions-focused approach with an optimistic outlook Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift tasks efficiently Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills Comfort with detail-oriented, process-driven work Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) QuickBooks experience preferred Team-oriented mindset --- Qualifications On-site position (not remote) 23 years of experience in sales support, administrative, or accounts payable roles Experience in a support-focused, detail-oriented role preferred Experience in a fast paced, high volume work environment is preferred --- Benefits We Offer Salary $50K DOE Competitive Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical, Disability, and Life Insurance 401(k) plan with strong company match Consistent daytime schedule designed to avoid peak Houston traffic Professional, collaborative work environment
