About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety & Security Lead to drive Safety, Security, Health and Compliance for its Office at Gift City, Gujarat. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing safety and security systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving fire and emergency preparedness programs, and fostering a strong safety and security culture across employees and contractors.
Desired Experience Level : 5-12 years of experience in managing Safety and Security in a big office space. Experience in office safety operations, fire safety, contractor safety management, physical security management, access control management and EHS compliance is preferred.
Education : Any Bachelor's Degree with Diploma/Master's Degree in Health & Safety recognized by State Technical Board and hands on experience in managing Security in a reputed Company office space.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities β Safety & Security
1. Safety
Safety Management & Risk Assessment
β’ Identify and assess workplace hazards, risks, and appropriate control measures.
β’ Implement and monitor risk mitigation programs to ensure a safe working environment.
β’ Ensure compliance with SHE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness
β’ Ensure fire protection systems are maintained and operational as per design standards.
β’ Manage the AMC vendor who provides maintenance of fire prevention and protection system
β’ Conduct periodic fire safety inspections and surveys.
β’ Maintain emergency response and firefighting equipment in good condition.
β’ Assist in conducting emergency mock drills across shifts as per schedule.
β’ Conduct firefighting training for Security and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members
Training & Awareness
β’ Conduct SHE induction and refresher training for employees and contractors.
β’ Promote safety awareness and safe work practices across the office.
β’ Support behavioral safety initiatives and employee engagement programs.
Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
β’ Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and injuries in coordination with concerned departments.
β’ Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
β’ Track closure and effectiveness of corrective actions arising from incidents and audits.
Permit to Work & Contractor Safety Management
β’ Ensure effective implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
β’ Monitor contractor safety performance and statutory compliance.
β’ Conduct safety inspections for high-risk activities and contractor operations.
Monitoring & Reporting
β’ Prepare and communicate daily consolidated SHE reports.
β’ Escalate persistent and critical safety risks to SHE Head.
β’ Support SHE audits and compliance reviews.
β’ Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
2. Security
- Manage day-to-day security operations of the corporate office
- Supervise deployed security guards and ensure discipline, grooming and deployment
- Coordinate with building security, facility management and building authority for common area security
- Able to operate and monitor access control, CCTV, Visitors Management and alarm systems
- Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors comply with access control policies.
- Conduct regular security inspections and identify vulnerabilities
- Investigate Security Incidents, thefts, violations and prepare reports
- Manage VIP Visits and provide security support during important meetings
- Conduct emergency drills for fire, bomb threat, medical emergencies, evacuation and lockdown
- Liaise with local police, fire services, hospitals and other emergency services
- Ensure compliance with company security policy and maintain security records, incident registers, visitor log, key registers and access card inventory
- Perform risk assessment and recommend security improvements
- Monitor SLA of the Security Agency
- Train employees on security awareness, emergency response, mock up drills and workplace safety
- Support business continuity planning and crisis management
- Coordinate after hours access and weekend operations

Desired Qualifications & Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Fire Safety Management.
- Adequate knowledge of implementing SHE & Security management systems.
- Experience in Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Knowledge of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Understanding of Contractor Safety Management systems.
- Knowledge of workplace hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with emergency response planning and incident management.
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Knowledge of SHE protocols, statutory compliance, and audit requirements.
