Must have
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience, working on production applications
- Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and practical experience working with relational databases
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and experience with frontend development
- Experience designing and working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Practical understanding of application performance, database queries, caching, and common production issues
- Experience writing and maintaining tests with RSpec
- Ability to investigate bugs and production issues independently and take a task from investigation through implementation and deployment
- Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals and ability to write maintainable, readable code
- Good written and spoken English for day-to-day communication in an international team
Nice to have
- Experience with background jobs and asynchronous processing, ideally Sidekiq and Redis
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools as part of the development workflow
