Key Job Responsibilities Collaborate and communicate effectively with experienced crossâdisciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services that delight our customers, while participating in technical discussions to drive solutions forward. Design and develop scalable solutions using cloudânative architectures and microservices in a large distributed computing workplace. Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable, faultâtolerant, and costâeffective. Leverage and contribute to the development of GenAI and AIâpowered tools to enhance development productivity while staying current with emerging technologies. Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
Work in an agile environment practicing CI/CD principles while participating in operational responsibilities including onâcall duties. Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues. Design, develop and test software components that interact with fulfillment center technologies, such as robotics, material handling equipment, computer vision, and cloud services.
Basic Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including objectâoriented design. Experience with at least one generalâpurpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or objectâoriented design principles. Preferred Qualifications Experience from a technical internship. Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
Experience with distributed, multiâtiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases. Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required. Experience from previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience.
Experience with Cloud platforms (preferably AWS), database systems (SQL and NoSQL), AI tools for development productivity, contributing to openâsource projects, and/or version control systems. Strong problemâsolving and analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in Linux application development. Experience with ROS/ROS 2 for robotics middleware.
Experience within Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization, Manipulation, Perception, Motion Planning and Controls, Movement, Autonomous Navigation, Path Planning or related. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as signâon payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
