Job Description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $110,000 to $125,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities: Assess the credit strength of counterparties prepare credit reviews and assist with setting terms in trading and service agreements. Evaluate market exposure by developing and using models for operating assets and energy products and recommend hedging actions. Manage collateral activities by tracking guarantees letters of credit surety bonds liens and cash requirements and maintain facility records.
Support insurance needs by coordinating with brokers and internal teams to secure appropriate coverage for projects and operations. Partner with commercial finance and accounting teams to interpret value explain risk metrics and provide ad hoc analysis on portfolio positions. Requirements: A Bachelor degree in a business field or a quantitative discipline such as finance economics accounting risk management mathematics or statistics. 3+ years of experience in risk management trading insurance finance or financial planning and analysis.
Demonstrate strong skill in Excel PowerPoint and other office applications and present findings clearly. Communicate effectively in writing and in person and organize work to meet multiple deadlines. Show interest in the energy sector with a willingness to learn market structures and products quickly.
Qualifications: Analyze credit terms for agreements and provide clear summaries that support leadership decisions. Understand energy markets and products including forwards futures options and power purchase agreements and the main regional markets. Monitor collateral balances support departmental needs and report on outstanding obligations with accuracy.
Contribute to risk committee activities and support development projects by identifying financial insurance and operational risks. Act with initiative by proposing improvements to models processes and reports that enhance risk visibility and control. REF#51897 #LI-DD1
