Location London, UK Closing Date for Applications 1st May 2026 The Opportunity We are seeking a proactive team player to join the restructuring team within Zurich Legacy Solutions ("ZLS"). The candidate should be engaging, calm under pressure, and comfortable expressing their views while acting in line with ZLS’s high ethical standards.

About ZLS ZLS is a global function that works with Business Units across the Zurich Group to manage capital. This is achieved by taking management control of legacy portfolios and transacting them in the market through long‑term reinsurance solutions or legal transfer. The team is primarily based in the UK and the US, supporting BUs worldwide, and reports directly to the Head of Group Reinsurance and the Group CFO.

Role Overview The role provides overall support to the transaction lead, covering identification and execution of exit strategies that maximise shareholder growth, achieve finality, and recycle capital back to the Zurich Group. It also ensures efficient business operation and maintains service levels while the portfolio is prepared for exit. Responsibilities Identify relevant market benchmarks and trends for the run‑off industry and managed portfolios.

Research, document and present information on the buyer universe. Develop business relationships with buyers, sellers, reinsurers, intermediaries, external advisers and internal stakeholders to facilitate portfolio disposal strategies. Support onboarding and management of portfolios from across the Zurich group, collaborating with local BU staff to understand and evaluate portfolio characteristics.

Analyze underlying data, segment information and identify embedded value for potential buyers. Discuss portfolio reserving with actuarial teams. Assist transaction lead across underwriting, claims, actuarial and finance functions to ensure operational effectiveness before exit.

Contribute to high levels of customer service for ZLS’ BU partners. Manage day‑to‑day sell‑side transaction processes up to execution, including preparing sale documentation and data rooms. Manage buyers’ information and access requests during live transaction processes.

Assist legal and external counsel in developing legal contracts where relevant. Contribute to exit strategy to maximise shareholder value and achieve finality. Support preparation of detailed business case presentations for internal sign‑off.

Coordinate with other ZLS functions to secure regulatory consents before or after exit. Prepare and execute internal and external communication plans, including staff plans for teams working on the exiting portfolio. Plan and manage transition to the preferred bidder and post‑closing issues.

Address reputational issues following exit. Qualifications – Required Finance, business, accounting, actuarial or similar degree, or a relevant professional qualification or progress towards one. Minimum 3 years’ experience in insurance/reinsurance with an emphasis on accounting and finance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, especially preparing high‑standard presentations. Qualifications – Preferred Buy or sell‑side project management experience in a corporate M&A environment, including due diligence processes. Insurance finance & accounting knowledge with emphasis on M&A and reinsurance transactions.

Strong research skills and interest in companies and markets. Working knowledge of the legacy insurance/reinsurance market. Benefits 12% defined non‑contributory pension scheme.
