Summary of Position We are in search of a highly motivated, hands on, hospitality-oriented Restaurant Manager to lead Hearsay a restaurant located in Phoenix. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations, leading service execution, developing team members, and helping deliver best-in-class guest experiences. The Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in bringing Episcope’s hospitality philosophy to life on the floor each day. This individual is a service-minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and supports a culture rooted in accountability, warmth, and operational excellence. The Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager and broader leadership team to ensure consistency in standards, team performance, and guest satisfaction across all dayparts.
Key Responsibilities Operational & Leadership Duties Support the daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure consistent execution of service, food, and beverage standards Maintain a thorough understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs Actively lead shifts with a strong floor presence, supporting service flow, team communication, and guest experience in real time Model Episcope’s hospitality culture through professionalism, urgency, attentiveness, and leadership presence Ensure every guest feels genuinely welcomed and receives warm, responsive, and memorable hospitality Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset Partner with culinary and bar teams to ensure smooth coordination and consistent execution of menu and service standards Support opening, mid-shift, and closing responsibilities to ensure operational readiness and cleanliness across all areas Assist in maintaining the physical condition and organization of the restaurant, including dining areas, service stations, and equipment Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Step in wherever needed to support the team and uphold service standards during high-volume periods Team Development & People Leadership Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of hourly team members Help reinforce service standards, systems, and brand expectations through ongoing coaching and shift leadership Hold team members accountable to appearance, punctuality, side work, service standards, and overall professionalism Provide real-time feedback and coaching to improve performance and build confidence in team members Assist in creating schedules and managing labor in alignment with business needs and company goals Foster a culture of teamwork, hospitality, and mutual respect across all departments Support performance conversations and disciplinary processes in partnership with senior leadership when needed Financial & Business Performance Support labor management by helping monitor staffing levels, shift productivity, and scheduling efficiency Assist with inventory controls, ordering procedures, cash handling, and loss prevention practices Help drive revenue by supporting programming, promotions, events, and private dining execution at the unit level Maintain awareness of sales goals, labor targets, and key operational metrics Support management with daily reports, shift notes, and operational follow-up Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, sanitation, and employment practices Work collaboratively with operations leadership, culinary, beverage, human resources, and corporate partners to support restaurant performance Qualifications Minimum of 2–4 years of management experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants, bars, or cafés Strong understanding of restaurant operations, guest service, and team leadership Experience with restaurant systems and platforms such as Toast, SevenRooms, Tripleseat, OpenTable, and Microsoft Office is preferred Proven ability to lead shifts, coach team members, and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a hands-on leadership style Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, music, and design Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment with evolving needs and high standards Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Pay & Benefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and flexible scheduling Employee dining discounts across all Episcope locations Professional development opportunities with clear pathways for advancement More detail about Hearsay by Episcope part of Episcope Hospitality, please visit https://culinaryagents.com/entities/653402-Hearsay-by-Episcope
