Research Science Analyst - Hydrogen Insights

Overview

In this role you will help build and refine hydrogen market intelligence and tools to guide client decisions on decarbonization and energy security. You’ll work within the Hydrogen Insights team to shape assets across the hydrogen value chain and translate insights into client-ready recommendations. Expect to develop MVPs into products, automate analyses with AI, and engage clients as a hydrogen and clean fuels expert.

• Develop and maintain proprietary market models and tools for the hydrogen value chain
• Analyze key players, project landscape, and regulatory contexts in hydrogen and derivatives
• Forecast cost, price, and supply-demand dynamics; identify value and profit pools
• Provide data-driven recommendations for portfolio and investment decisions
• Tech-enablement: build, automate, and visualize tools using AI and coding
• Identify product gaps, develop MVPs, evolve them into full products
• Support clients by deploying assets and customizing insights; grow toward knowledge consulting
• Collaborate with solution leadership and cross-functional teams in sustainability

• Master's degree in STEM or related quantitative field
• Up to 2 years of professional experience (including theses/internships)
• Experience or academic exposure to hydrogen, clean fuels, or decarbonization valued
• Strong analytical skills; MS Excel and PowerPoint required; coding experience essential
• Data visualization skills a plus (Tableau, Power BI)
• Comfort with AI tools and automation for analysis
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to spot new product opportunities
