Renovation Technician / Multi-trade

Job Overview

McAze is looking for an experienced Renovation Technician / Multi-Trade Professional to join our team across Toronto and the GTA. This is a hands-on role supporting residential and commercial renovation projects from demolition through final finishing.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple renovation trades, takes pride in clean and accurate workmanship, and can work independently while communicating progress clearly. Because many projects take place in occupied properties, professionalism, careful site protection, organization, and cleanup are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform demolition, drywall installation and repair, flooring, trim, painting, and general finishing work.
• Assist with fixture, door, hardware, cabinetry, and other component installations.
• Complete repairs, touch-ups, and final project deficiencies.
• Protect floors, furniture, and surrounding areas before beginning work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout the project.
• Identify site conditions and communicate required materials, issues, and progress to the project team.
• Work independently when required while coordinating effectively with other trades and team members.
• Maintain high workmanship standards in occupied homes and active commercial properties.

What We’re Looking For

• Practical hands-on experience across several renovation trades.
• Strong knowledge of drywall, flooring, trim, painting, repairs, and general renovation work.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
• Professional communication and conduct around clients and occupied properties.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites across Toronto and the GTA.
• Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining clean job sites.
