Reliability Engineer

As the Reliability Engineer, you will join a dedicated and supportive Engineering team, playing a critical role in improving asset performance through reliability engineering, maintenance optimisation and SAP asset data governance. Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Technical & Planning and Project teams, you will deliver engineering solutions that improve equipment reliability and support efficient plant operations.

This role is based in Collie, in WA's South West, surrounded by the picturesque jarrah forests, rolling hills and farmlands, and just a 45-minute drive from the beautiful beaches and coastal city of Bunbury.

As the Reliability Engineer, you will join a dedicated and supportive Engineering team, playing a critical role in improving asset performance through reliability engineering, maintenance optimisation and SAP asset data governance. Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Technical & Planning and Project teams, you will deliver engineering solutions that improve equipment reliability and support efficient plant operations.

As the Reliability Engineer, you will:

• Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve plant performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Apply reliability engineering methodologies including Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
• Analyse equipment performance, maintenance history and failure trends to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
• Optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies based on asset criticality and operational performance.
• Manage and maintain SAP asset structures, including equipment masters, functional locations, Bills of Materials (BOMs), task lists and maintenance plans.
• Ensure SAP asset data remains accurate, consistent and aligned with engineering documentation and plant configuration.
• Support capital projects, commissioning and asset handover by ensuring asset data and maintenance strategies are established before operational handover.
• Develop reliability and asset performance reporting to support engineering decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Maintenance and Technical & Planning teams to improve maintenance effectiveness and asset lifecycle performance.

What you'll bring:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering or asset management within heavy industry.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and asset management systems.
• Experience applying reliability methodologies such as RCM, RCA and FMECA.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience within power generation, mining, oil and gas, utilities or similar heavy industry.
• Knowledge of asset management frameworks, including ISO 55000.
• Experience supporting capital projects, commissioning and asset lifecycle management.
• Exposure to predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
