Senior Release Manager – Network Delivery Engineering (NDE) Job Position: Senior Release Manager – Network Delivery Engineering (NDE) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Release Manager, Network Delivery Engineering (NDE) – Canada to lead the strategic delivery of enterprise‑wide network changes. In this role, you will ensure that all data centers and enterprise network systems—including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies—remain highly available, secure, reliable, and meticulously documented. The ideal leader brings a proven track record of managing complex environments utilizing an on/offshore delivery model, collaborating seamlessly with project managers and deployment engineers to maintain top‑tier network stability.
Compensation T4 – $86‑$90k | IC – $99‑$105k, Hybrid working model (Downtown, Toronto). Key Responsibilities Change & Risk Management: Lead Change Management for Canadian network delivery, thoroughly reviewing technical changes for scheduling conflicts, competing priorities, and risk mitigation. Incident & Recovery Oversight: Manage incidents resulting from changes, driving root‑cause determination, expediting recovery, and delivering comprehensive Network Incident Reports to executive leadership.
Release Planning & Automation: Partner with automation teams to optimize daily reporting and processes. Orchestrate complete release plans (including worst‑case scenarios and roll‑back procedures) leveraging automation by default. Team Leadership & Governance: Coordinate, motivate, and provide technical direction to network engineering release and deployment staff to achieve critical corporate deliverables.
Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary escalation point for critical service issues, managing "go/no‑go" release decisions and collaborating with the NDE Director on complex problem resolution. What You Bring (Must‑Haves) Minimum of 5 years of IT delivery management experience within a large enterprise, with a solid preference for major financial institutions. Proven success supporting 24/7/365 network implementations running multi‑tiered, high‑transaction, or e‑commerce applications.
Significant experience with enterprise‑class Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ACI, CheckPoint, and F5 technologies. Strong foundational knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, VPC, STP/PVST, Port Channels, and Ether Channels. Thorough understanding of network security (ACLs, firewall filtering, IPSec VPN tunnels, Remote access IPSEC/SSL VPNs) alongside DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP web‑based technologies.
Extensive, hands‑on experience utilizing ServiceNow for change, incident, and release governance. Active Cisco certifications (such as CCNP or CCIE). Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and conflict‑management skills, with an innate ability to lead a team through complex projects to completion.
Nice‑to‑Haves Advanced certifications from F5, Checkpoint, Juniper, AWS, or Azure. Experience building data‑driven dashboards and reporting via Power BI. Experience directly collaborating with dedicated network automation engineering teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
