About the Role

Are you a kind, caring, confident nurse passionate about Making Lives Better®? At Nurse Next Door, our nurses and caregivers are the heart of everything we do. Due to rapid growth, we are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our Care Ambassador Team.

This isn't just a nursing job; it’s an opportunity to mentor and lead, make changes in peoples lives, and love what you do everyday.

Why our team love it here

Accessible Leadership: Our management isn't tucked away in an office—they are hands-on, invested, and always just a phone call away.

A Culture That Cares: We are a certified Great Place to Work because we listen. Your ideas for "Finding a Better Way" aren't just welcomed—they’re celebrated.

Never a Dull Day: From complex "Hospital in the Home" clinical care to mentoring caregivers and building client relationships, your shift will be full of variety.

Invested in YOU: We don’t just care about your clinical skills. We offer genuine personal development and career progression pathways to help you grow as a leader.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, you will work a rotating roster (AM/PM shifts, 7 days a week) covering Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens.

Key tasks include:

Providing high-quality clinical nursing care within your scope of practice.

Mentoring & Training: Supporting, training, and developing caregivers directly in client homes.

On-the-Ground Support: Attending first visits with new staff, delivering stock, and filling vacant visits when needed.

Collaboration: Working closely with our leadership teams to ensure seamless service.

Relationship Building: Creating "WOW" experiences for our clients and fostering strong bonds with the care team.

Who We Are Looking For

We want a self-led leader who embodies our four core values: Admire People, WOW Customer Experience, Find a Better Way, and Passionate about Making a Difference.

The Essentials

Experience: 3-5 years of RN/EN experience (Advanced clinical skills). Community experience is a plus, but acute care backgrounds are welcome. Previous Team Leader experience will be valued, but not essential.

Complex Care: Proven experience working with clients with complex needs (Aged Care or Disability).

Tech Savvy: Strong computer skills (G‑Suite proficiency is highly regarded).

Logistics: A reliable car, current driver’s license, and a willingness and love to travel across the region.

Compliance: National Police Check, WWCC, NDIS Worker Modules, and current First Aid/CPR.

Note: Above all, you must have a "can-do" attitude and a genuine heart for helping others.
