Registered Nurse – Community & Disability Nursing

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual basis and provide community nursing services to people with disabilities.
This role would suit an RN who enjoys working in the community, values person-centred care and is confident working both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
As a Community Registered Nurse with Solve Care, you will provide clinical nursing support to participants in their homes and community settings.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Wound care and wound management
- Catheter changes
- Subcutaneous injections
- Continence assessments, under the supervision of our Clinical Nurse Consultant
- Supporting participants with complex and high-intensity care needs
- Providing High Intensity Support training to Support Workers
- Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation
- Communicating with participants, families, Support Workers and other members of the care team
About You
We are looking for someone who brings strong clinical skills together with a genuinely caring and respectful approach.
Ideally, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in community nursing
- Experience supporting people with disabilities
- Strong wound care knowledge and clinical skills
- Experience with catheter care and changes
- Experience administering subcutaneous injections
- Knowledge of continence care and assessments
- Confidence working independently in community settings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- A compassionate, reliable and person-centred approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
Desirable
Experience with VAC dressings / Negative Pressure Wound Therapy is highly desirable.
Experience providing clinical or High Intensity Support training to Support Workers will also be highly regarded.
