Job Description
A Long-Term Care organization in the Albany, NY area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Wound Care .
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to residents while following facility standards and care practices.
Manage and treat all open wounds in the facility, including wound cleaning and dressing changes.
Monitor residents and provide medications and treatments as ordered.
Complete admission paperwork and required nursing documentation.
Document resident care in resident and department records.
Monitor infection control and help ensure proper infection-control practices are followed.
Complete monthly infection-control reports and other required reports.
Work with the interdisciplinary team to address resident needs and concerns.
Provide support and guidance to residents and their families.
Maintain resident privacy and keep all resident information confidential.
Help maintain a safe environment for residents and staff by following infection-control policies and procedures.
Must have a current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Must be Wound and Ostomy Certified.
Long-term care experience is preferred.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.
