The 4/5 West Observation Unit is a brand new unit at Parkview Randallia. This new department will be is a 20‑bed unit serving low‑acuity patients expected to have a length of stay of less than 48 hours, with an average stay of approximately 24 hours. The unit is divided evenly between 4 West and 5 West and functions as a short‑stay observation area with frequent admissions and discharges in a fast‑paced environment. Nurses care for patients admitted for brief observation and may also support after‑hours infusions, working alongside one patient care technician per floor.

Qualifications:

* * Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN

* Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.

* Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.) Must have good verbal and written communication skills. xawqmyg
