About This Role
The Registered Nurse - NICU - Temporary Per Diem Research Nurse is responsible for coordinating and overseeing clinical research operations in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong communication skills and clinical knowledge of NICU discharge processes.

What You'll Do
- Support the principal investigator by examining the clinical study protocol and coordinating with NICU families.
- Collaborate with the PI to design and maintain a shared data tracking instrument for study enrollment.
- Attain required CITI Research certification for compliance with IRB standards.
- Define and clarify research-specific NICU discharge procedures with the PI.
- Screen, evaluate, and recruit potential study candidates; support informed consent processes.
- Obtain written informed consent from participating NICU nurses.
- Administer final study surveys via REDCap on discharge day.
- Monitor data utilization of the REDCap discharge checklist and educational resources.
- Conduct medical record reviews and populate study data into REDCap.
- Maintain thorough documentation for every patient enrolled in the study.
Requirements
Education
- BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
Experience
- Minimum of two years of NICU nursing experience required
Licenses & Certifications
- Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
