Job Description

The Role

As a Band 5 Nurse within the Gynaecology Service, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing programmes of care, and evaluating outcomes to ensure the best possible patient experience. The role involves supporting patients and their families through sensitive and often complex healthcare journeys, providing evidence-based information and promoting informed decision-making.

You will work within professional, legal and ethical frameworks, maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety. The post also contributes to education, training and research activities, supporting the development of nursing staff and evidence-based care. In addition, you will assist with service delivery responsibilities including stock and equipment management, documentation and participation in recruitment activities.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

Please note that the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

This is a fixed-term post for 12 months.

This post is based at PRMH, Alexandra Parade, Glasgow, G312ER.

The shift pattern is 11.55-hour shifts.
