Job Description
Chandler Macleod xPO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operational Excellence Team, supporting the delivery of safe, compliant and efficient workforce mobilisation and on-hire contractor population outcomes. This is a part-time position, working for 3 days a week and can be based in either Gladstone or Brisbane.
Reporting to the Lead Senior Registered Nurse, this role plays an important part in ensuring candidates meet fitness-for-work requirements and client-specific medical standards. You will be responsible for reviewing medical information, coordinating assessment activities and supporting workforce health compliance within a highly regulated and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their clinical expertise in an occupational and workforce health setting while contributing to the success of nationally significant client programs.
About the Role:
- Review pre-employment medical assessments and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with client, legislative and internal requirements
- Assess medical reports against fitness-for-work criteria, inherent role requirements and site-specific medical standards
- Coordinate follow-up requirements including specialist reviews, sleep studies, pathology testing and additional medical information requests
- Manage candidate medical cases through to clearance, ensuring timely and compliant outcomes
- Liaise with candidates, medical providers, recruiters, mobilisation teams and client stakeholders to support seamless workforce mobilisation
- Monitor health surveillance requirements, including audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol testing and periodic medical assessments
- Identify and elevate fitness-for-work concerns, medical restrictions and complex cases in accordance with governance frameworks
- Support workforce health reporting, compliance monitoring, audit activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain confidential, accurate and audit-ready medical records in line with privacy and governance requirements
About You:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in Occupational Health, Workforce Health, Injury Management or Pre-Employment Medical Assessment environments
- Strong understanding of fitness-for-work principles, occupational health risk management and health compliance requirements
- Experience interpreting medical information and applying established review frameworks to support workforce health outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships across operational, clinical and client groups
- Strong organisational, administrative and case management capabilities
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands and manage high-volume workloads
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality, compliance and quality outcomes
- Experience supporting mining, resources, industrial or remote workforce environments will be highly regarded
