Key Accountabilities Develop and execute regional operational budgets, prepare monthly operating statements, and manage variance analysis. Produce accurate monthly financial reports and financial statements aligned with Avanath’s protocols.
Maximize portfolio performance by developing strategic operational plans. Implement collections systems to achieve 0% rent delinquency. Oversee capital projects and coordinate with multiple departments.
Prepare and submit subsidy vouchers as required. Visit communities minimum 3-4 times per week. Manage up to 10 sites and a diverse workforce.
Support personnel performance, coach leaders, and provide feedback. Work with back office and corporate support functions (compliance, finance, asset management, etc.). Assess team performance annually and drive development opportunities.
Respond to resident and team concerns, maintenance, security breaches, emergencies. Coordinate on‑site operations including budget implementation, compliance, vendor relations, contractor oversight, rent collections, accounts payable. Engage positively with residents on operational concerns and initiatives.
Refer residents to appropriate services and agencies. Implement systems to acknowledge and address complaints promptly. Respond promptly to potential housing violations and liability concerns.
Qualifications 5+ years community management experience. 7+ years multi‑family experience (affordable housing preferred). Lease‑up/new development experience required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, property management systems, internet, and email.
Knowledge of LIHTC, tax credit/bond/conventional qualifications preferred. Frequent regional travel required. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with residents, tenant associations, senior executives, vendors, and investors. Effective multitasking and time‑management. Benefits Culture built on purpose, core values, and continuous improvement.
