Refrigeration Engineer

Refrigeration Engineer Salary: £50,784.36 Basic + Standby Payments + Overtime + Bonus Opportunities We are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities and refrigeration maintenance provider, working across a prestigious retail contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer seeking a stable role with strong earning potential through standby payments, overtime, and additional performance incentives. The Role Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment. Diagnosing and repairing faults on refrigeration systems, cold rooms, integral cabinets, and associated plant. Ensuring all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards. Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required. Maintaining accurate service records and reports. Building strong working relationships with site teams and customers. Participating in the on-call rota.

Requirements NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience within retail, supermarket, or commercial environments desirable Full UK Driving Licence Package & Benefits Basic Salary: £50,784.36 per annum (Based on a 45-hour working week) Standby Allowance: 1 in 4 on‑call rota, £195 per standby week Overtime: Paid where applicable Additional On‑Call Cover: £150 per individual weekend day covered, overtime paid at standard rates for any call-outs attended Additional Performance Incentive: Work 6 additional days beyond the standard 13 weekend on‑call requirement and receive a £500 customer bonus £500 annual incentive scheme Long‑term, secure retail contract Excellent earning potential Ongoing training and career development opportunities Join a well‑established and supportive engineering team If you're a qualified Refrigeration Engineer looking for a rewarding position with excellent earning potential and long-term career prospects, apply today. #J-18808-Ljbffr
