Hamilton Connections is seeking a candidate for a quotes specialist position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity. The quotes specialist is responsible for the timely processing of customer quotes. The hours are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The salary is $60,000 a year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Quote processing including the review and organization of documentation package, including RFQ, BOM, assembly drawings and technical files
• Enter data into databases and excel spreadsheets, distribution and recovery of work for generation of reports and letters
• Maintain various reports and files
• Handle customer and interdepartmental communication at all levels of the company
• Facilitate workload flow down to quotes associates & program managers and report on quote status
• Assure work is being prioritized and completed in a timely fashion
• Mentor and instruct quotes associates and account managers on proper procedures and processes and review work being processed to be sure procedures are being adhered to
• Ensure quotes procedures manual is updated with new processes, procedures, and process changes or additions
• Convert customer BOM to Excel or quoting software
• Create RFQs for submission to suppliers
• Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Business background with minimum of associate's degree; bachelor's degree is preferred
• Experience with reading and interpreting contract documentation including RFQs, and other requirements documents necessary to quote
• Electronics industry experience required
• Experience comprehending material specifications and blueprints is a plus
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and experience with ERP software
• DFARS experience is highly preferred
• Able to work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills required
• Must be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings
