Job Description
Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for all matters related to Quality, Environmental and Food Safety regulations, management systems and certifications, as well as any additional standards considered necessary for the operation.
This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports. The role is responsible for maintaining the site’s documentation and management systems and works cross-functionally with different department leaders, providing guidance and support on quality, compliance and audit-related matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain Quality, Environmental, Food Safety and other required management systems.
- Establish and implement new procedures and work instructions according to business and operational needs.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Support second-party audits involving customers and suppliers.
- Partner with the Technical, Laboratory and Commercial teams to respond to customer requests.
- Support third-party audits to maintain existing certifications and obtain new certifications when required.
- Participate in the plant’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee product release activities.
- Manage customer complaints and non-conformities, including the corresponding investigation and follow-up processes.
- Lead the HACCP team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across the organization without direct reporting authority.

Education and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or a related field.
- An MBA or master’s degree focused on Quality Management is desirable.
- Professional proficiency in both Spanish and English is essential.
- A minimum B2 level of English is required; C1 proficiency is preferred.
Experience and Skills
- Approximately 10 years of experience in Quality Management Systems and Food Safety.
- Experience working in an individual contributor role requiring cross-functional leadership, stakeholder influence and collaboration across different departments.
- Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to a high-performing, quality-focused organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Entrepreneurial and action-oriented mindset, with strong execution capabilities.
- Solid knowledge of applicable industry regulations, legal requirements and guidelines.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and drive quality initiatives without direct reports.
