Job Description
HUBMASTER® is a global provider of intralogistics and warehouse automation solutions. We design and integrate turnkey ASRS systems based on our proprietary multi-aisle stacker crane technology, together with automated handling equipment, control systems and our HMWare® Warehouse Control System.
As part of our continued international growth, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that equipment, components and processes meet HUBMASTER® quality requirements, applicable technical standards and customer specifications.
The position will have a strong focus on manufacturing quality across our supplier network, while also supporting the development and continuous improvement of the company’s internal quality processes.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain quality requirements for outsourced manufacturing, purchased components and project-specific equipment.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation from a quality perspective.
- Prepare and manage quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), inspection checklists and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor supplier manufacturing processes and verify compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate and perform inspections at suppliers’ facilities, including dimensional, visual, welding, coating, assembly and functional inspections.
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and ensure that findings are documented and resolved before shipment.
- Review material certificates, welding records, inspection reports, calibration certificates and other manufacturing quality documentation.
- Manage non-conformities, root-cause analyses and corrective and preventive actions with suppliers and internal teams.
- Evaluate, qualify and periodically audit suppliers based on their technical capabilities and quality performance.
- Monitor supplier quality indicators and identify recurring risks, deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Support incoming inspections, installation quality controls and the resolution of quality issues identified during commissioning.
- Develop and maintain internal quality procedures, templates, records and approval workflows.
- Help strengthen the company’s quality management system and promote consistent processes across engineering, procurement, project management, logistics and commissioning.
- Support internal and external audits and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of relevant quality certifications.
- Prepare project quality documentation and reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of prevention, traceability, accountability and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Candidate profile
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or similar Engineering.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, supplier quality, manufacturing quality or industrial project quality.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerances, manufacturing specifications and inspection documentation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, machining, welding, surface treatments, electrical assembly or industrial equipment integration.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as root-cause analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, CAPA, FMEA and supplier audits.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with suppliers and multidisciplinary internal teams.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Availability to travel to suppliers, project sites and customer facilities when required.
Experience in warehouse automation, material-handling equipment, machinery manufacturing, steel structures or industrial automation will be highly valued.
