Purchasing / Procurement Manager (Buford)

Global Electronic Services is a fast-growing industrial electronics repair company serving customers nationwide. We’re looking for a Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to join our team in Buford, GA. This role is hands-on and plays a key part in keeping our repair operations moving by sourcing parts, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and controlling costs.

What You’ll Do:

• Track and analyze spend by department and category
• Create, manage, and stay within purchasing budgets
• Manage and approve inventory requests including warehouse and office supply needs
• Research, source, and purchase electronic components, boards, motors, drives, and related parts
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers when needed
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors to control costs
• Manage supplier relationships and performance (quality, delivery, pricing)
• Create, manage, and stay within purchasing budgets
• Work closely with technicians, operations, and management to forecast part needs
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Resolve supplier issues, back orders, and shortages
• Support cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Economics
• Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain

Preferred Skills / Experience:

• Experience sourcing hard-to-find or obsolete parts (industrial or electronic a plus)
• Strong research and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable negotiating with vendors and suppliers
• Organized, detail-oriented, and budget-conscious
• Strong Excel and basic reporting skills
• Ability to work in-office and collaborate with technical and operations teams
• Professional communication skills (email, phone, vendor management)
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP Business One a plus)

Location Requirement:

This is an in-office position in Buford, GA, Monday through Friday. Remote or hybrid is not available.
