Purchase Manager / Supply Chain Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with strong expertise in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling domestic and international procurement, cost optimization, inventory coordination, and supplier relationship management while ensuring timely availability of materials and services. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing operations for the organization.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost efficiency and uninterrupted supply. Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable domestic and international vendors/suppliers. Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Handle procurement planning in coordination with production, sales, and operations teams. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials. Prepare and process purchase orders, comparative statements, and procurement documentation.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance periodically. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and company procedures. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for smooth material movement and dispatch planning.
Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks. Work closely with finance/accounts teams regarding payments, invoices, and reconciliation. Generate procurement MIS reports and maintain accurate procurement records in ERP systems.
Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management. Expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor development. Excellent negotiation and cost optimization skills.
Experience in handling imports and international procurement processes. Strong analytical, coordination, and follow-up abilities. Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement software.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement activities simultaneously. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Science, or related field.
Certification in Supply Chain/Procurement Management will be preferred. Experience 9+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and Vendor Management. Experience in manufacturing, medical equipment, engineering, or related industries preferred.
Exposure to global procurement and strategic sourcing preferred. Preferred Candidate Profile Proven track record in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives. Experience in handling cross-functional procurement coordination.
Strong understanding of inventory control and supply planning. Leadership ability to manage procurement teams and supplier networks.
