Lead and build the Softcat Ireland Enterprise team

\n

As our new Public Sector Lead for Ireland, you'll set the strategic direction for the division, focusing on early careers and growing the core team. You'll lead, inspire, and support your people to perform at their best. Reporting to the Country Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping Softcat's Public Sector growth in Ireland and contribute to the wider leadership team.

This role goes beyond numbers – it's about people, culture, and a strong understanding of the Irish Public Sector market. As a player‑manager, you'll combine leadership with hands‑on experience selling complex solutions into Public Sector customers.

\n

As Public Sector Lead – Ireland, you'll be responsible for

\n

\n
• Inspiring and leading the Public Sector Sales division, setting a clear vision across Early Careers and Core team
\n
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing our people so they can grow and succeed in their careers
\n
• Partnering with the Ireland country manager to shape strategy and contribute to country wide initiatives
\n
• Building trusted, long‑term relationships with customers, vendors, framework authorities and our distributors.
\n
• Seeking out new opportunities for growth and innovation in Public Sector Ireland within your own customers base as well as the team
\n
• Fostering a culture that balances performance with collaboration, creativity, and fun
\n
• Acting as a role model for Softcat's values, ensuring they shine through everything we do
\n

• Proven sales leader with strong experience in strategy and the Irish Public Sector market
\n
• Track record of building, developing, and leading high‑performing teams
\n
• Inspiring leader who empowers others and drives strong followership
\n
• Strategic thinker able to turn vision into clear actions and results
\n
• Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
\n
• Experienced in complex sales, customer management, and resolving escalations
\n
