This is a high-impact opportunity to become the first Public Sector Growth Director for a respected, partner-led UK building-services consultancy.

The organisation already has substantial public-sector experience, strong technical capability, established client relationships and access to a range of procurement frameworks. Its work spans healthcare, education, central and local government, custodial and judicial environments.

The foundations are firmly in place. The opportunity now is to bring greater strategic focus, commercial coordination and national leadership to the way public-sector growth is developed across the Partnership.

THE ROLE

You will identify and shape opportunities before formal procurement, build senior relationships and coordinate the Partnership’s public-sector growth activity nationally.

• Assess the existing clients, pipeline, frameworks and sector strengths
• Identify the markets and services offering the greatest growth potential
• Build a qualified national pipeline of strategically relevant opportunities
• Originate and shape opportunities before they enter formal procurement
• Develop trusted relationships with senior public-sector decision-makers
• Strengthen routes to market through frameworks, alliances and delivery partners
• Coordinate major pursuits across sectors, disciplines and regional offices
• Introduce greater structure, visibility and discipline to the growth process
• Build and lead the future public-sector growth and work-winning team
• Present strategy, priorities and progress to the board-level steering group

THE PROFILE

We are looking for an established public-sector growth leader who can combine strategic thinking with the drive and credibility to create opportunities personally.

• A strong track record in public-sector business development and growth
• An established network of senior clients, influencers and delivery partners
• Experience within engineering, building services, construction, FM, property or the wider built environment
• Evidence of originating, shaping and converting complex opportunities
• Strong knowledge of public procurement and framework-based routes to market
• Experience engaging clients before requirements and tenders are fully defined
• Commercial judgement and disciplined pipeline management
• Credibility with boards, technical specialists and public-sector stakeholders
• The ability to unite different teams around shared commercial priorities
• Experience creating growth strategies and building high-performing teams

Direct building-services experience would be valuable, but it is not the only credible route. Candidates from adjacent built-environment, technical-services, FM or major-contractor backgrounds will also be considered if they bring relevant public-sector relationships and transferable commercial expertise.
