Job Overview The National Security Space (NSS) Estimating team needs a strong Estimator to support the team. It’s an exciting time to be a part of NSS. Market disruptors mean we need to find new ways of doing business, develop creative solutions, and drive innovation.
We need talent to help shape the future of our programs. Responsibilities Develop, plan, and schedule proposals for the NSS Line of Business in accordance with estimating policy, FAR/DFARS requirements and system requirements. Shape, develop and mature business case analyses and cost methods to produce a comprehensive bid/price strategy.
Develop initiatives to increase profitability and cash flow. Act as the estimating lead on proposals, compiling cost, schedule, and technical elements to develop proposals in accordance with RFP specifications. Coordinate the collection of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
Perform financial modeling and analyses related to major proposals, including rate studies, business case development, and cash flow analysis, and present findings and recommendations to leaders. Research and analyze historical data, develop cost models to support proposal efforts and determine the accuracy of functional estimates. Participate in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
Participate as a member of the contract negotiating team and interact with DCAA and other audit agencies. Initiate process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency within pricing and estimating functions. Develop, communicate, and implement estimating and pricing policies/procedures, and conduct monitoring and surveillance activities to ensure consistent implementation.
Possess written and oral communication skills to support proposal development activities, executive proposal reviews, fact‑finding and negotiations, and interaction with DCAA and other audit agencies. Basic Qualifications Strong analytical, communication, or interpersonal skills. Ability to work with MS Office suite applications.
Proactive, self‑starter with motivation to perform with excellence. Desired Skills Strong business and financial acumen. Estimating and/or finance experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure. Strong work values – integrity, dependability, self‑confidence, and a positive attitude. Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. 2+ years of related experience.
Security Clearance Position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
