Job Description
Position Title Property Manager Job Summary This highly visible role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the overall management and maintenance of Digital Realty’s data center property. The Property Manager will work independently within a dynamic and supportive management structure, oversee a staff of direct reports, and directly influence the operations of the data center facility by leveraging property management, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. What You’ll Do Oversee and be responsible for planning, budgeting, and controlling operating and capital expenditures.
Manage the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and variance reports. Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including rent collection, accruals, expense payments, common‑area maintenance estimates, tune‑ups, reconciliations, lease‑term compliance, and related documentation. Ensure compliance of all customer lease agreements and that landlord and customer obligations are met.
Respond to customer requests, coordinate with Property Management and Technical Operations teams to resolve issues, and maintain strong customer relationships. Select and oversee vendor services, including preparing RFPs and service agreements, monitoring vendor performance, and scheduling maintenance with vendors and customers. Conduct regular property inspections, making recommendations to maintain or enhance the asset.
Collaborate with the Asset Manager and Technical Operations team to meet corporate objectives. Supervise and manage team members to achieve exceptional performance and set attainment goals. Develop, coach, and counsel team members.
What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or comparable experience. Four to seven years of related experience. Strong understanding of financial terms and principles and the ability to analyze complex financial and business decisions.
Ability to resolve situations or complaints from customers, employees, or management. Basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical infrastructure, including primary and backup systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to create complex financial documents. Strong organizational skills and detail orientation. Proven record of delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
Experience with acquisitions, new system implementation, or tenant‑improvement construction is a strong plus. Willingness and ability to travel for training and orientation purposes. Benefits Compensation range: $108,000 - $115,000 annually.
