Community Manager - Luxury Multifamily Salary: $110,000-135,000 Location: Long Island City The Opportunity Our client, a premier New York real estate developer and manager, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Community Manager to lead a flagship residential asset in Long Island City. This is a high-visibility role for a professional who can balance the "white-glove" service expectations of luxury residents with the technical and financial rigors of high-volume NYC property operations. The Role As Community Manager, you will serve as the operational lead for the property, responsible for maximizing asset value, occupancy, and resident satisfaction.
You will bridge the gap between high-level financial strategy and day-to-day building operations, ensuring the property meets all revenue goals, capital improvement benchmarks, and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence: Oversee all day-to-day property operations, emphasizing a high-standard response to resident concerns and building maintenance. Financial Management: Participate in the preparation of operating budgets and forecasts.
Prepare monthly variance reports, analyze expenditure patterns, and identify opportunities for cost-optimization. Asset & Project Oversight: Lead capital improvement projects and apartment renovations. Negotiate and manage all service contracts (HVAC, cleaning, critical systems) to ensure vendor performance.
Staff Leadership: Direct and mentor on-site teams, including Resident Managers, office staff, and leasing representatives. Set clear performance goals and manage the commissions process. Compliance & Audit: Ensure the property is 100% compliant with NYC rental market legal requirements and passes all audits, reviews, and municipal inspections.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain transparent and timely communication with owners, asset managers, and business partners to ensure total client satisfaction. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5 years of residential property management experience in NYC, specifically with rent-regulated/LIHTC units. Sector Expertise: Proven track record managing high-end, luxury residential properties and a deep understanding of building operations/maintenance.
Licensing: Current NY Real Estate License (or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire). Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) and experience with Revenue Management programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
