Preference for candidates with experience in the Data Centre industry or MEP Service installation Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Project Supervisor with 1-4 years of hands-on experience to supervise mechanical installation projects across various locations in India. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of mechanical system installations, structural alignments, and site supervision, particularly in MEP installations for critical infrastructure projects like data centers.
Experience with safety protocols, measurements, and reading technical drawings is essential. This role will require working closely with execution teams and ensuring project milestones are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Execution: Oversee and supervise mechanical installations on-site, ensuring that the work is done according to design specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
Manage on-the-ground operations, including overseeing installation teams, coordinating tasks, and ensuring that work is progressing as per the project plan. Alignment & Installation Processes: Ensure accurate mechanical system alignments during installations, including systems such as HVAC, piping, electrical components, and other MEP services. Monitor and verify the correct installation of components and structures, ensuring that all alignments are in compliance with engineering standards.
Work at Height & Safety: Ensure the execution of tasks that require working at height, adhering strictly to safety protocols and regulations. Ensure team members are provided with proper safety equipment and training. Enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring that all team members are working in a safe environment.
Measurement & Surveying: Conduct surveys to check for undulations, structural misalignments, and other physical discrepancies that may affect the installation process. Use appropriate tools and techniques to measure, monitor, and record site conditions to ensure precision during installations. Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure that the installation is carried out as per the approved design.
Collaborate with the project manager and engineers to resolve any discrepancies between drawings and site conditions. Units & Conversion Knowledge: Apply strong knowledge of units and conversions to ensure the accurate implementation of mechanical measurements, system configurations, and material usage. Perform unit conversions as required for mechanical systems, including calculations for dimensions, load capacities, and other parameters.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks and project milestones. Supervise the work of laborers and subcontractors, ensuring they follow site guidelines, safety practices, and quality standards. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation related to site progress, installation reports, measurements, safety checks, and any discrepancies or issues.
Assist in preparing progress reports and documentation for the project manager or client. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams, helping to troubleshoot problems and find solutions to technical challenges on-site.
