Global Payroll - Project Manager Roles and responsibilities In this challenging role, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment that will together with external partners perform rollouts in record time. Project Overview & Core Mandate A global payroll solution is being deployed vendor across all regional subsidiaries. The PM leads the full project lifecycle, focusing on governing critical integrations between vendor and internal core systems: Workday (HCM & master data) and Kyriba (treasury & payroll payment posting) etc,.

Key scope includes full schedule control, multi-country phased rollout, vendor delivery governance and group compliance final sign-off. Expected experience, skill sets and abilities Certified Project Manager to act as the company’s dedicated internal project manager. The PM owns full internal governance, cross-department coordination and end-to-end oversight of all vendor delivery across global sites under a Managed as a Service (MaaS) contract.

Core Role Accountability : Serve as internal Project Manager accountable for full project governance, RAID tracking, stakeholder alignment and milestone delivery. Supervise all vendor-led system integration activities, ensure stable cross-system data flows, on-time regional go-lives and full policy compliance. Eliminate critical compliance, security and operational risks before every payroll production cutover.

Key PM Responsibilities - Full End-to-End Project Governance Own integrated project planning, critical path management, milestones, RAID logs, weekly steering updates and stage-gate approvals. Control scope, timeline, dependencies and formal change management. Facilitate regular alignment with global HR, local business units, finance, IT, infosec, data privacy and internal audit to maintain steady project progress Oversee Cross-System Integration Delivery Govern all integration workstreams connecting Payroll, Workday etc.

Monitor master data alignment, interface testing, UAT coordination, data validation and pre-cutover readiness. Track integration bottlenecks, coordinate directly with vendor technical teams and escalate high-priority blockers to avoid delivery delays. Vendor Governance & Performance Control Run regular governance syncs with the vendor delivery team.

Track real-time progress, enforce contractual SLAs and acceptance standards, identify delivery gaps or delays, and drive formal corrective action plans to ensure full contractual compliance Coordinated Multi-Country Phased Rollout Define country wave planning and deployment sequence. Verify local HR and finance operational readiness, coordinate parallel payroll runs, arrange pre-go-live hypercare support and oversee post-launch stabilisation to guarantee zero payroll operational disruption Compliance, Infosec & Privacy Final Sign-Off Validate all system interfaces, data transmissions and vendor activities against corporate infosec, data privacy, residency rules, access control and financial internal control policies. Compile audit-ready compliance evidence, retain official records and issue country-level compliance sign-off prior to each go-live.

Project Success KPIs & Acceptance Criteria All project milestones and stage gates delivered fully on the approved timeline All integrations fully tested, stable and defect-free at cutover. All regions successfully launched with no open critical compliance or security findings. Vendor delivery fully aligned with contracted scope, quality requirements and SLAs.

Zero payroll disruption, no payment failures; all compliance audit documents fully archived Mandatory Requirements Valid active project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent, mandatory Solid track record leading global payroll projects as a full-time PM preferably on Starda, Workday & Kyriba and integration between the third-party payroll platforms. Familiar with enterprise governance, RAID management, stage gates and executive steering reporting. Practical knowledge of enterprise infosec, data privacy and financial compliance for IT implementations.

Fluent business English for global stakeholder and vendor daily coordination At least 8 - 12 years’ experience as Project/Program Manager for complex Payroll projects Soft Skills Strong communication & influencing skills at all levels Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong customer orientation Managing client’s expectations effectively Independent, self-motivated, and good team player Ability to work within a highly distributed team environment.
