NIKA is hiring for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the on-site Project Management of Muirkirk Road Complex (MRC) in Laurel, Maryland! This position is pending per contract award and start date is TBD once approved. Job Duties: The Project Manager will serve as primary point of contact for all contract activities Oversee all contract operations, planning, execution, and evaluation Ensure all services are provided in accordance with PWS requirements Ensure timely submission of all contract deliverables Manage contract budget, schedule, and resources Identify and bring all facility deficiencies to COR's attention promptly Provide cost proposals for additional services as requested by Government Oversee quality assurance program and review/initial quality control inspections Coordinate with Government on work schedules, outages, and impacts Resolve contractor personnel issues and performance problems Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Maintain professional relationships with Government personnel Attend meetings with Government as required Be on-site during normal business hours (minimum 40 hours/week) Provide 24/7 availability for emergencies (phone/email) Required Certifications: Hold a Professional Project Management (PPM) certification or be a certified Facility Management Professional (FMP) or possess an equivalent professional certification in facility management. Hold a current OSHA 30-hour certification. Certified Class A and B Operator qualified to oversee Underground Storage Tanks (USTs), including systems with secondary containment and spill and overfill prevention, and shall demonstrate documented experience managing UST compliance.
Requirements: The Project Manager shall possess demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting Bio-Safety Level (BSL)-2 and/or BSL-3 laboratory facilities operating on a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year basis, with such experience clearly documented on the resume and supported by credible references. Shall possess demonstrated knowledge and experience with Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) requirements as they relate to building operations and maintenance, with experience documented on the resume and supported by credible references. The Project Manager shall have extensive environmental compliance knowledge covering a broad range of regulatory requirements governed by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), with documented experience and references provided.
