We’re looking for a Construction Project Manager who’s ready to take ownership of industrial construction projects from early planning through execution and closeout—someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and enjoys partnering with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to bring complex industrial projects to life. If you’re a proactive problem‑solver who appreciates both field execution and the commercial side of project delivery, we’d love to welcome you to our team.

What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll plan, coordinate, manage, and oversee all aspects of industrial construction projects. You’ll serve as the primary point of accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance, ensuring work is executed in alignment with contract documents, engineering standards, and IFG’s commitment to excellence. Your day-to-day will include: Project Leadership & Execution Lead industrial construction projects from preconstruction and kickoff through completion and closeout.

Ensure projects are executed according to contract documents, design specifications, applicable codes, and engineering standards—on time and within budget. Plan and sequence work activities; guide subcontractors through execution and resolve field and design challenges as they arise. Monitor project progress, staffing, submittals, RFIs, and invoices while keeping internal teams and clients informed.

Preconstruction & Planning Participate in preconstruction activities including estimating support, bid reviews, scope clarification, budgeting, and constructability input. Support smooth handoff from estimating and engineering into execution through early planning and coordination. Financial & Commercial Management Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost‑to‑complete analyses.

Track labor productivity, production rates, and project performance; identify and address variances. Review, interpret, and help negotiate contracts, scopes, and change orders while managing commercial risk and protecting project margin. Maintain clear and accurate project documentation to support billing, reporting, and contract compliance.

Coordination & Communication Facilitate clear, consistent communication between customers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Coordinate engineering documentation, approvals, and construction workflows to maintain alignment across disciplines. Safety, Quality & Compliance Promote a safe jobsite and ensure compliance with all safety codes, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain high standards for workmanship, quality control, and documentation. Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration Contribute to the ongoing improvement of IFG’s project management systems, tools, and workflows. Share lessons learned and best practices to support efficiency, visibility, and scalability in a growing firm.

Work collaboratively with team members to deliver results that exceed client expectations. What You Bring We’re looking for someone with: 5+ years of experience in industrial construction, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience working with manufacturing clients, especially in chemical or advanced materials environments.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and process data sheets. Familiarity with engineering documentation and approval processes. Hands-on experience in process construction (equipment installation, piping, mechanical systems, E&I, utilities).

Bonus: Experience with industrial building components like civil, concrete, steel, MEP, and fire protection. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other business tools. A positive attitude and a commitment to being an active part of our small-firm culture.
