Project Manager Position: permanent, full-time (40 hours a week), based out of the office at 1801 Hollis, Halifax, NS About Our Opportunity We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering and architecture design projects from initiation to completion. This role reports to the VP of Special Projects and provides project management services to the Special Projects team and other departments. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure client satisfaction and high team performance.
Primary Accountabilities Your responsibilities will include: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and architecture design projects across various sectors. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/subconsultants for the flawless execution of projects. Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines and budgets.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships. Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary. Oversee project documentation, reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Support proposal development, including scope definition, budgeting, and scheduling. Skills / Training Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (Master’s degree or PMP certification is an asset). Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering project management, preferably in a consulting environment.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycles. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar). Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Nova Scotia is an asset. All successful applicants must meet requirements to obtain a minimum of Reliability Status clearance through the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) within 6 months of start date. #J-18808-Ljbffr
