Project Manager/ Document Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to work at their company in San Diego, CA. Project Managers within the Business Optimization group support and manage a variety of Capital and O&M projects primarily focused on process optimization, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Project Manager serves as the single point of contact and is accountable for ensuring the overall success of their assigned projects. The Project Manager is directly responsible for multiple projects at one time, leading various cross-functional teams to develop the scope of work, business requirements, schedule, and resources, as well as proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues to the project. The Project Manager is also responsible for stakeholder communication, training, and implementation, change management, and ensuring key deliverables and milestones are met within the timeframes established. The position typically leads high-profile projects that directly impact safety, reliability, compliance, asset management, customer service, and accounting operations and interfaces with executives. Lead projects with less reliance on frequent oversight and/or guidance from leadership 40% - Lead and manage all aspects of assigned projects through direct coordination with various departments, subject matter experts (SMEs), consultants, management, and other personnel ~20% - Ensure open communication with all project Team Members, Stakeholders, End-users, and Management ~10% - Utilize and support applications, software, and tools within the Business framework to ensure consistency in overall project management, reporting, and scheduling. ~Requires a Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 9 years' experience related to project management, engineering, operations, IT, construction, or other related utility experience.

Candidate must have a solid understanding of project management principles with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus. Lean Six Sigma certification and/or working knowledge of various internal systems (GIS, SAP, Scheduling, Dispatching and Mobility Applications, etc.) Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Power Suite applications. Must demonstrate experience managing large projects, directing change, and leading diverse teams.
