Project Manager

Role Description The Project Manager at CodSec will oversee security-focused projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives. This full-time hybrid role is based in Braga, Portugal, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project plans, timelines; coordinating cross-functional teams; and tracking dependencies and risks across SecOps, AppSec, and AI-driven initiatives.

The Project Manager will facilitate communication between stakeholders, prepare status reports, and ensure that project documentation, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently met. The role also involves optimizing processes, handling logistical aspects of project execution, and supporting continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager, ideally delivering software or technology projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time, within scope.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, and risks across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product.
• Strong stakeholder-management and customer-facing communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira).
• Comfortable working with technical teams and translating business needs into clear project requirements.
• Proficient in English.
• (Plus) Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM).
• (Plus) Experience in cybersecurity, application security, or related technology domains.
