Job Title: Project Manager – Plant Asset Data Remediation Job Description This Project Manager role leads plant‑specific asset and data remediation initiatives that improve the integrity, accuracy, and usability of generation asset data. You will coordinate projects from planning through execution, working closely with engineering, operations, asset management, technology teams, and external vendors to standardize asset data models, strengthen data governance, and support a comprehensive asset data strategy across the organization. Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of plant asset data projects from initiation through completion.

Develop, maintain, and regularly update detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations. Facilitate cross‑functional project meetings, document and track action items, and proactively identify and manage project risks. Coordinate plant walkdowns to verify field conditions and asset inventories.

Organize and oversee P&ID reviews, including coordination of CAD updates to reflect accurate asset information. Manage asset identification and labeling activities to ensure consistency and alignment with standardized asset data models. Oversee asset data remediation efforts to improve accuracy, completeness, and quality of generation asset data.

Drive the transition of existing asset data into standardized asset data models aligned with industry best practices and operational needs. Support reviews of operations and maintenance (O&M) procedures and coordinate updates between plants and vendors. Serve as the central point of contact for cross‑functional project coordination among engineering, operations, asset management, technology teams, and external partners.

Support training, change management, and user adoption efforts related to new asset data models, tools, and processes. Contribute to the assessment of existing asset data models and related systems to identify gaps and remediation priorities. Help define and document business requirements and standards for unified asset data across business units.

Support the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures, and role definitions. Assist in the execution of transition and implementation plans for standardized asset data models. Contribute to the creation of training materials and communication content that support effective adoption of new data standards and processes.

Maintain high standards of documentation accuracy and ensure that project records, decisions, and changes are clearly captured. Monitor project budgets and schedules, support cost control, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep projects on track. Provide strong customer and stakeholder support, ensuring expectations are managed and project objectives are clearly understood.

Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in power plant, power delivery, and/or heavy industrial environments. Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a similar project‑focused role. Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and budget management.

Proven ability to coordinate and influence cross‑functional stakeholders, including engineering, operations, asset management, and technology teams. Mechanical and/or electrical design experience relevant to power plant or utility systems. Understanding of power plant and utility systems and their associated asset structures.

Experience with data management in an engineering, utility, or industrial context. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and project information to diverse audiences. High attention to detail and a strong focus on documentation accuracy and completeness.

Analytical problem‑solving mindset with the ability to diagnose data issues and propose practical remediation approaches. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, including Excel, Word, Teams, and Project. Strong customer and stakeholder focus, with the ability to build relationships and manage expectations effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (preferred). PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (preferred). CAD Developer certification (preferred).

Experience with P&ID development and review, including coordination of CAD updates. Experience in mechanical design engineering or electrical design within industrial or utility settings. Familiarity with asset data models and industry best practices for asset data governance and controls.

Experience supporting change management, training, and user adoption for new processes or systems. Work Environment This position is based on site at a power plant in the Atlanta, GA area. You will work closely with plant personnel and cross‑functional teams in an operational industrial environment that includes plant walkdowns, equipment areas, and control spaces.

The role involves regular in‑person collaboration, participation in on‑site meetings, and coordination with engineering, operations, and vendor teams. You will use standard office and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Project, as well as engineering documentation such as P&ID and CAD drawings. The environment combines office‑based work with time spent in active plant areas, requiring appropriate adherence to site safety practices and protocols.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 – $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
