Project Management Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Officer (PMO) to join our Business ERP Development Project team. This role is a hybrid position combining traditional PMO responsibilities with project controlling functions, ensuring both strategic oversight and financial governance of the project. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, have experience in financial project tracking, and be proficient in project management methodologies.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts through an effective financial tracking system.
  • Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide recommendations to ensure budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with finance and project managers for accurate financial reporting and support in cost-benefit analyses, financial models, and investment appraisals.
  • Validate invoices, process cost allocations, and perform financial reconciliations.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones while tracking progress against objectives and critical deadlines.
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, or deviations, and support the development of mitigation plans.
  • Create dashboards and KPIs to report on project performance and ensure adherence to governance and compliance requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring version control and accessibility, and track key decisions, action items, and change requests.
  • Support change control processes by monitoring scope adjustments and their financial impacts.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for stakeholders, ensuring alignment between project teams, finance, and leadership.
  • Facilitate project meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and follow-up tracking.
  • Monitor financial, operational, and scheduling risks, ensuring timely issue resolution and escalation when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in both PMO and project controlling functions, ideally within ERP or IT projects.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, PMP) is a plus.
