Orion is seeking a Project Engineer – Marine Construction (Onsite – Vancouver, WA) Position Summary Orion Marine Contractors Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support marine construction projects onsite in Vancouver, WA. This role is responsible for providing engineering and project coordination support, including cost tracking, procurement, scheduling, and subcontractor management to ensure successful project delivery from start to finish. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to maintain alignment across all project phases while upholding Orion’s core values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork, built on a foundation of Integrity.

Key Responsibilities Partner with the Project Management team to execute active and upcoming projects Track and analyze project costs (labor, materials, equipment, and services) Develop bid packages and assist in subcontractor selection Procure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications Support scheduling and coordination of project work activities Serve as a liaison between field teams, vendors, clients, and stakeholders Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all project activities Safety & Compliance Maintain accountability for personal and team safety Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements Participate in safety programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Minimum 2+ years of relevant construction or project engineering experience Working knowledge of: Marine or heavy civil construction Estimating, cost control, and scheduling Procurement and subcontractor management Project tracking software and reporting tools Strong communication and coordination skills across all levels of an organization Ability to make informed decisions and drive results in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel and work onsite or out-of-town as needed Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Navigate active construction sites, including barges, vessels, and docks Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting (up to 20 lbs), and extended standing Use required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots Remain calm and responsive in emergency situations Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Life and AD&D Insurance Short-term & Long-term Disability 401(k) with company participation Paid Time Off (vacation, sick leave, holidays, etc.) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Employee Assistance Program Career growth and development opportunities Salary Range: $110,000 – $145,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
