OCMI, Inc. is a privately owned construction management consultancy founded in 1982. We operate across Federal, Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, Technology, and Commercial markets, offering services including Cost Management, Project Management, Scheduling, and Project Controls. We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In this role, you will provide highly responsive construction management services in one of the firm’s core business lines. Responsibilities Assist and document pre-bid, pre-construction meetings, and progress meetings, and follow up on action items Review plans and specifications for project knowledge and understanding Maintain project control records, as-builts, RFIs, submittals, and files to facilitate the timely exchange of information with the project team Assist with tracking budget and change orders Review the project schedule and assist the project manager in the maintenance of it as requested Assist with regular meetings with all project participants Observe and record jobsite activity in accordance with the required contractual frequency Participate in all project safety meetings Assist in client relations Assist in procurement of design professionals and consultant services and administers contracts Support the project manager’s leadership for all phases of the project Assist in preparation and distribution of construction observation reports, progress status reports, schedules, pay applications, and cost control reports Manage orderly project closeout, organization of project documentation, coordination of warranty work, and punch lists Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications 2+ years of related work experience in construction management or related field Solid foundation understanding of A/E/C industry terminology & delivery methods Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Excellent organizational skills Outstanding leadership and communication skills Teamwork and proactive approach Well-versed in all construction industry delivery methods Foundation cost estimating and scheduling skills are highly desirable Effective computer skills, including proficient use of MS Office.
