Project Engineer (Acton)

Job Title: Project Engineering Administrator Duration: 6 Months (Contract to hire) Location: Acton MA Pay Range: $56 - $60/hourly on W2 We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Change & PLM Coordinator to manage end-to-end engineering change processes within a regulated medical device environment. The role focuses on owning and driving change orders (ECOs/PCOs/QCOs/DCOs/TCOs) from initiation through final approval and release. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, timely approvals, and smooth cross-functional coordination across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Document Control teams.

This role also supports product lifecycle management (PLM) activities, including maintaining BOMs, Device Master Records (DMRs), drawings, labeling, and Design History File (DHF) documentation. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage engineering change orders from creation to release Drive approvals by coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and approvers Ensure change records are complete, compliant, and aligned with QMS requirements Maintain PLM product structures (BOMs, DMRs, drawings, labeling specs) Support DHF traceability and configuration management activities Identify and resolve delays impacting change execution timelines Collaborate with Document Control and Engineering to improve PLM workflows Support part approvals, supplier changes, and R&D build documentation Requirements: 2+ years education or equivalent technical experience 2+ years experience with PLM systems and engineering change orders 2+ years in a cross-functional product development environment Strong understanding of configuration management and Design Controls Experience working in regulated environments (medical device preferred) Ability to manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven settings Preferred: Degree in Engineering or technical discipline Experience with FDA-regulated product development Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC standards Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
