Job Description
Project Engineer / Deployment Technical Program Manager This role focuses on the execution of large-scale hardware deployments across multiple U.S sites. The Project Engineer / Deployment Technical Program Manager will coordinate logistics, schedules, and on‑site execution for thousands of hardware units across approximately 14 locations through 2026. The position requires a highly organized and communicative professional who enjoys hands‑on field work, thrives in dynamic environments, and serves as the key connector between field operations, engineering teams, logistics partners, and vendors.
Responsibilities Drive tactical, day‑to‑day execution and tracking across all deployment workstreams, ensuring real‑time visibility into progress, risks, and blockers. Coordinate and track multiple concurrent deployment swimlanes, maintaining alignment across parallel activities and stakeholders. Conduct daily monitoring of validation and deployment progress across all sites.
Track logistics for hardware deployments, retrofits, and part deliveries, ensuring components arrive on site as planned and are installed correctly. Maintain accurate records of retrofit completion and deployment status for each site. Coordinate closely with internal teams and external vendors, including deployment teams, logistics organizations, and related partners, to ensure seamless execution.
Provide real‑time issue triage during on‑site deployments, quickly identifying, escalating, and resolving blockers to minimize delays. Coordinate troubleshooting when hardware fails in the field or when new feature releases require post‑installation validation. Serve as the primary communication bridge between field teams, engineering, operations, and external vendors during planning and execution.
Maintain real‑time dashboards and reporting to provide stakeholders with clear, accurate, and timely progress updates. Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify risks before they impact deployment timelines, recommending mitigation plans as needed. Operate effectively in fast‑moving, distributed environments with shifting priorities and incomplete information, adapting plans as conditions change.
Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively across diverse stakeholders and time zones to maintain alignment and momentum. Demonstrate a strong bias for action, ownership, and accountability, especially during on‑site execution and critical deployment windows. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated experience in deployment, operations, field engineering, or execution‑focused program management. Proven ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams across geographically distributed teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to track complex, multi‑site deployment activities.
Excellent communication skills with a history of effective cross‑functional coordination. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25 percent and be hands‑on during site deployments. Comfort operating independently in ambiguous and time‑sensitive environments.
Project management experience, including planning, tracking, and reporting on complex initiatives. Experience managing change orders and adapting plans based on evolving requirements. Engineering background sufficient to understand hardware deployments and field validation activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in roles such as Project Engineer, Deployment Engineer, Test Engineer, Integration Engineer, or Technical Program Manager. Familiarity with hardware systems, controls, or software validation in field environments. Experience working on large‑scale rollouts or multi‑site hardware deployments.
Strong problem‑solving mindset with a demonstrated ability to adapt plans quickly when conditions change. Background working directly with vendors, logistics teams, or operations organizations. Ability to build and maintain real‑time dashboards and reporting tools to track deployment progress and metrics.
Comfort working in fast‑moving, distributed teams with shifting priorities and incomplete information. Demonstrated ownership mentality and accountability for on‑time, high‑quality execution. Work Environment This role operates in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment focused on large‑scale hardware deployments across approximately 14 U.S. sites.
Work will involve a mix of office‑based coordination and hands‑on field presence during deployments. The position requires frequent collaboration with engineering, operations, logistics partners, and vendors, often across different locations and time zones. Travel of up to 25 percent is expected for on‑site deployment support, issue triage, and coordination with local teams.
The environment emphasizes real‑time communication, proactive problem‑solving, and the use of dashboards and performance metrics to track progress and risks. You will work within a distributed team structure where priorities can shift quickly, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership over execution outcomes.
