Project Development Manager

The Project Manager role is responsible for leading the delivery of development and capital projects from early-stage development through procurement, construction and commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from development and permitting through procurement, construction and handover to operations. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including internal staff, contractors and consultants, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.

Deliver projects in line with agreed scope, programme, budget and quality requirements, applying industry best practice to ensure safe and efficient execution. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, quality plans and execution strategies. Monitor progress and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders, including the Board where required.

Identify opportunities to optimise project outcomes in terms of cost, schedule and performance. Work closely with the O&M team to ensure a smooth transition of assets into operations. Plan and manage project resources including personnel, equipment and materials, identifying and resolving conflicts where necessary.

Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards and drive a strong HSE culture across the project. Work with the commercial team to manage contracts effectively and ensure contractual obligations are met by all parties. Implement robust risk management processes, ensuring risks and assumptions are clearly identified, quantified and mitigated.

Support business planning activities and maintain a strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind projects. Collaborate across the wider organisation to develop innovative solutions to technical and commercial challenges. Qualifications Degree qualified in an Engineering or related discipline (qualifications below this may be acceptable if evidenced by suitable experience) – essential Membership of an appropriate professional institution (desirable) Project Management qualification – desirable
