Job Description
Falcon Group has a need for someone to assist with construction administration services including document reviews, preparation of reports, preparation of presentations, attending project meetings, preparing project case studies, preparation of proposals, and working with project managers, architects and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties
Job responsibilities would include:
- Understanding the specifications for the project.
- Monitoring the contractor’s work for conformance to project specifications.
- Working as our client’s representative on site during work.
- Representing clients in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
- Reviewing and approving change orders.
- Performing field inspections.
- Recording field measurements and performing basic calculations.
- Preparing design documents.
- Preparation of cost estimates.
- Performing repair quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Providing assistance and recommendations of alternate methods of construction to meet the intent of each related code, while addressing client needs and budgetary considerations.
- Assist in the evaluation of contract bids, make recommendations to senior staff regarding feasibility studies, and assist in the management of construction projects.
- Review code requirements.
- Knowledge of local and state building codes and the ability to apply them to work.
- Collecting post-project feedback to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with teams to understand the scope of work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.
- Prepare investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
This position will be balanced between field work on job sites and in the office to help prepare construction documents and reports.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Structural, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
Work Experience
- 2+ years’ experience required in Structural, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Licenses and Certifications
OSHA 30 hour certification preferred; otherwise, must complete within three months from date of hire, fees covered by Company.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to attend client meetings and events, as needed.
- Ability to work overtime, as needed.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
- Ability to work individually or with team members and collaborate with other disciplines.
- Ability to work in the field and travel outside local areas as workload and projects require.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Provide exceptional customer service and people skills.
- Ability to manage time and project budgets.
Physical Demands
- Lift/Carry up to 40 lbs. (ladders, hammers, harness equipment, etc.).
- Safely work at heights. Work on suspended scaffolding on the exterior of the building high above ground (training to be provided by Company).
- Safely use and/or operate ladders, lifts and other access equipment.
