A leading provider of telecommunications, utility, engineering, and critical infrastructure services is seeking a Project Accountant to join its growing Data Centre Services division, based at its Group Headquarters in Clondalkin, Co.
Dublin.

The Role
The Project Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial management and commercial performance of projects within the Data Centre Services division. Working closely with project managers, operational teams, and finance colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate project reporting, cost control, forecasting, and financial analysis across multiple projects.
This role offers a hybrid working model, with three days per week based on-site in Clondalkin and two days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the financial performance of multiple projects.
- Support project teams with budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections, and profitability analysis.
- Review and audit project valuation tracking, including labour, travel, supplier services, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review and audit costs across both large-scale and smaller project portfolios.
- Ensure accurate allocation of project costs and revenues.
- Maintain project audit files and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support the monthly revenue recognition process, including Work in Progress (WIP) calculations and accruals.
- Assist with month-end reporting and project financial reviews.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to identify opportunities for improved project performance and cost management.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Essential
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a project accounting, management accounting, or finance role supporting projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly motivated with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using financial systems.
Desirable
- Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, telecommunications, utilities, data centres, or project-based environments.
- Knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, and profitability analysis.
- Experience supporting large-scale capital projects.
