Function: Commercial Location: Hybrid 1 day a week at any of our offices (Nottingham, Alfreton, Sheffield, Wakefield, Daresbury or London). Contract type: Permanent Salary: £36,446 with the potential to rise to £40,495 over 3 years Closing Date: Thursday 21st May, 2026 Job Title: Programmer Analyst NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Programmer Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first. Responsibilities Support and maintain data architecture for commercial allowing consistent reporting across all directorates.

Support the data collection process from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business. Document complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required. Support the team to help with the alignment of business data, leverage expertise in data science and analytics to enhance insight capability, application and solution buildering for business wide efficiencies.

Support with insight creation and solutions building for commercial teams. Responsible for interpretation, analysis and presentation of data using a variety of tools including: Excel, Access, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, Cognos, Python, Power Apps, Power Automate. What can we offer you?

What skills will help you thrive in this role? Ability to analyse, interpret, and present complex data using a range of tools including Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, Alteryx, Cognos, Power Apps, and Power Automate to create meaningful insights and solutions. Strong understanding of commercial needs, with experience supporting business solutions that deliver ROI and improve efficiency across the organisation.

Experience supporting and maintaining data architecture, integrating data from multiple sources to ensure consistent and reliable reporting across directorates. Ability to document complex "as‑is" and "to‑be" processes, clearly identifying required changes and supporting the transition to improved future‑state capabilities. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strategic and innovative mindset and a proven ability to deliver projects and support solution implementation.
