Senior Program Controls Analyst KEY POINTS • Senior role driving cost, schedule, and performance across complex programmes • $110,000 - $140,000 + Bonus • High-visibility position working closely with programme leadership and engineering teams ABOUT THE CLIENT Due to continued growth, we’re supporting a specialist engineering organization delivering complex, high-performance systems across mission-critical programmes. The business operates across the full programme lifecycle, with a strong focus on execution, delivery, and performance tracking within a structured, regulated environment. Programme controls play a central role in ensuring cost accuracy, schedule adherence, and informed decision-making across multiple concurrent projects.
With increasing programme scale and complexity, they are expanding their programme controls capability to support ongoing delivery and growth. THE PROGRAM CONTROLS ANALYST ROLE This is a senior, hands-on role focused on monitoring and managing programme performance across cost, schedule, and resource allocation. You will work closely with programme managers, engineering teams, and finance to provide accurate reporting, actionable insights, and forward-looking analysis.
The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations that support programme success. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with reporting requirements while supporting decision-making across programme leadership. Key responsibilities include: • Managing and monitoring programme budgets, cost performance, and schedule tracking • Applying Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies • Analysing programme performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities • Preparing and submitting programme reports in line with contractual requirements • Supporting CDRL reporting and Earned Value formats (1–5) • Partnering with programme managers to support planning and forecasting • Tracking resource allocation against budgets and forecasts • Supporting risk identification and mitigation planning • Preparing financial data for presentations, briefings, and status updates PROGRAM CONTROLS ANALYST ESSENTIAL SKILLS • 10+ years’ experience in programme controls, cost analysis, or similar role • Strong experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) • Experience working within government contracting or regulated environments • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience supporting programme reporting and forecasting • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and PMO teams • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines NICE TO HAVE • Experience supporting proposal development • Background across both large and small organisations • Experience working on engineering or development programmes • Active or eligible for TS/SCI clearance TO BE CONSIDERED Please either apply by clicking online or emailing me directly at [email protected].
