Production Manager

Production Manager Belfast Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to lead the operational performance of Plumbing & Drainage production units within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards, delivery targets, and wider business objectives. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, optimise resources, and build a high-performing and engaged production team.

Key Responsibilities *Lead day-to-day production operations, ensuring outputs meet quality, specification, and delivery requirements *Plan and schedule production activity in collaboration with Planning to maximise efficiency and resource utilisation *Monitor machine performance, promote preventative maintenance, and work with Engineering to minimise downtime *Track and improve key production KPIs relating to safety, quality, cost, waste, and delivery *Lead departmental improvement plans to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow *Drive process optimisation and identify opportunities to improve synergies across production areas *Ensure production teams are appropriately resourced, trained, and supported *Handle day-to-day employee relations matters in line with company policies and employment legislation *Ensure quality standards and QA systems are followed and regularly reviewed *Manage operational and material costs within agreed budgets *Report weekly on production performance, workforce, and operational matters *Prepare monthly performance reports for senior leadership *Maintain accurate records relating to production output, scrap, training, timekeeping, and KPIs Requirements *Minimum of 5 years management experience within a manufacturing environment *Proven experience in a production or operations management role *Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools including 5S, 5WHY, and SMED *Strong understanding of materials management and production planning *Strong IT skills, including MS Office, with advanced Excel capability *Solid understanding of Health & Safety and quality compliance standards For more information on this role contact Zoey at Cpl Skills: Production Manager Business Unit Manager Senior team lead
